Best Fitting Charging Kits

Carbon fibre divers cylinders for charging PCPs were once all the rage and to some still the Holy Grail of charging equipment. Then they disappeared for a while and sporadically turn up in limited quantities, often reconditioned and the bottle only. However, Best Fittings have recently sourced a limited amount of unused bottles. Rather than sell them alone, they’ve taken the opportunity to make them into something special and that’s exactly what you get if you purchase one of these kits!

Light and Accurate

Weight is the issue as they tip the scale at a mere 7.5Kg. When compared to a traditional steel bottle this makes them much easier to handle, hold far more compressed air and there’s no loss in the materials strength. After testing, and visually inspection, Best Fittings fit them with their MDE Jubilee fill adaptors, these are dedicated units for use with the airgun charging valve.

If that wasn’t good enough, also included is the high quality upgraded 67mm stainless steel, glycerine-filled precision gauge. This is superior to standard units due to it being much larger than a standard 63mm diameter, giving a more readable scale which is graduated in 10-BAR increments rather than the usual 20-BAR. The glycerine, though only acting as a damper for the needle, is accepted as being the best substance to use for accurate readings.

Swivelling Hose

Another accessory I’m glad to see included is the Swivelling Hose Quick Detach Kit and their 600mm Ultima Hose Upgrade.’ Both be bought separately - as can all the other accessories. As the name suggests it allows the hose to rotate on the cylinder valve, therefore further reducing strain. Its other major benefit is it allows it to be uncoupled from the cylinder in an instant for safe storage. A pressure test/dust plug is included in the kit for added protection when hose not installed.

It can be fitted to any ¼” BSP female outlet – i.e. dedicated gun charging cylinder valves and add on charging heads. Other extras include Rubber Boot, the superb Cylinder Carry Strap and a Universal Buddy Bottle Fill Adaptor.’

That comes to £88 worth of essential upgrades. As for performance and spec’ - It averages 42+ full fills for an Air Arms S410, it needs a standard and usual 5 year cylinder hydrostatic test cycle and upon ordering expect delivery in the UK within 3 working days.

Personally, I’ve got one put to one side for when I can afford it as this is one hell of a bargain which won’t be seen for long as they’ll soon be snapped up.
