Snugpak Dri-Sak

Snugpak Dri-Sak

Dry bags make the ideal liner to a pack in bad weather, helping keep the contents dry and secure, and can also make excellent flotation aids. Quite often the inability to remove excess air from a dry bag makes the load bulkier than ideal. SnugPak have added a new dry bag to their Dri-Sak range, the 40-litre Dri-Sak compression Dry-Sak with an air valve. The addition of an air valve helps purge excess air from the load for a more compressed package.

In the photos, you can see the SnugPak Dri-Sak I loaded with a down sleeping bag and compressed to a very small bulk. The Dri-Sak stayed compressed for over a week, proving that the seal is good.

To use the Dri-Sak, you load the bag and, with the valve open, squeeze out as much air as you can before closing the opening and rolling the top down for at least three turns and clipping the buckles together. You can then compress the bag by squeezing out more air. To stop the contents of the Sak blocking the valve, you can press it inwards with a finger. When as much air as possible is removed, you simply close the valve and are good to go!

Simple and effective, light and strong, the SnugPak 40l Dri-Sak compression Dri-Sak with air valve should give years of service in keeping kit dry and secure.
