Napier Stainless Steel Flasks

Every hunter knows or should know the benefits of having access to a warm drink in winter and equally a cold one in summer. There are many makes of ‘cheap’ Vacuum flasks on the market but more often than not they soon show why they’re ‘bargain-basement’, due to their poor heat retention properties or ease of breakage. Let’s face it, we’ve all been there, unscrewing the top of our flask only to have tepid or cold drink come out; not good! This is why Napier of London have re-introduced the flasks they discontinued quite some time back, but thankfully they’re now back on the roster and slightly up-graded too.

Stainless reputation

Napier flasks are made from 100% stainless steel inside and out and are true vacuum vessels, they use no foam or glass and are virtually unbreakable. They’re rated as being able to provide optimum heat retention capability for over 24hours. Very solidly built, they conform to BS 6672 and carry a full 5-year guarantee and come in two sizes of 500ml and one litre capacities.

The next product here featured perfectly complements and, in my opinion, completes your ‘drink kit’ because as good as these flasks are, the shiny finish gives off a quarry alerting shine. Napier took this on-board and came up with the what I feel are the perfect solution for transporting any flask – these being the Insu-Cases. Not only do they ‘camouflage’ it, but they also afford it extra insulation, which cannot be a bad thing.

Soft and strong

Manufactured from Hushtex, which is a soft, strong, washable and quiet material that by the fact it wraps sound the flaks adds another layer of insulation and comes in the popular camo pattern of Advantage® Timber™.

Each case comes supplied with a removable shoulder strap, carrying/ pouring handle and has a heavy-duty zip top closure. Also, should you be transporting a ‘fatty’ of a flask or soft drink bottle, the clever elasticated back panel allows additional expansion of up to one inch. The Insu-case is a practical, stylish and ideal solution for transporting, protecting and insulating any usual drink container be it flask or bottle.

The two models obviously were designed for Napier’s flasks but are suitable for carrying most other popular brands of a similar size. The small version measures 10.5” x 3.5” and holds flasks from 300 to 750ml, while its larger relative measures13” x 4.25” so will easily take the one litre model and due to the elasticated back panel design, will even hold a standard 2L soft drink or water bottle.
