The Jack Pyke range of folding lock knives is quite extensive, most of which have been featured here. However, quite recently the company has added four new lock back knives to the list.
All the blades are highquality stainless steel and most models hold the same design of clip point blade, plus they open with a generous thumb nick. Apart from one model, all come with a quality brown leather belt pouch.
First up is the Classic Knife which features a rosewood handle with brass bolsters and is the largest of the group as it shows a 3 ¼” blade. While, the Dalesman has a 2 ½” blade and stands out due to its rosewood and stainless handle – the latter having a country scene (choice of deer, fish or pheasant).
The Rambler Knife has a highly polished wood handle with steel bolsters and holds a 2 ½” drop point blade and unlike the others comes with a black nylon sheath.
The Shires Knife is definitely one of the most stylish models, due to its rosewood handle having exclusive designs crafted into the wood (choice of deer, fish, pheasant or hunter). It also has a laser-etched steel bolster and holds a 3” blade.
Overall, This latest launch of Jack Pyke traditionally styled folders are very appealing. They are well built, solid in operation, have strong blades and the designs are cosmetically attractive, plus they are very nicely priced.
