Leatherman Bond EDC Multi-Tool

› The Leatherman Bond is a lightweight multi-tool that manages to pack 14 useful tools into a very neat and compact design. It also—very cleverly—has a short and non-locking blade, which makes it a legal everyday carry (EDC) in the UK. Obviously, common sense dictates where you should and should not carry any sort of edged tool, but at least with a legal EDC like this one, it is less of a potential issue in any given situation.
The Bond’s minimal design incorporates a full stainless-steel build and a highly functional set of tools into a workhorse weighing in at just 6oz. The tools are all centred on Leatherman’s strong pliers, which have both needle-nose and regular sections, and the edges of the handles are nicely rounded to give a comfortable grip.
The 2.9” 420HC blade is supplied razor-sharp, and edge retention is very good. The other tools include a nice hardwood/metal file, three screwdrivers, can and bottle openers, wire cutters, and a very strong awl, all incorporated neatly into the handles. The Bond has a lanyard hole and is supplied with a good-quality nylon sheath, but if you prefer a pocket clip, there is an attachment point for you to add one if you wish.
This is a great little tool that’s small and light enough to carry easily, and strong enough to take on any jobs you might need to do while out shooting. If you do not want to carry a large multi-tool with more tools than you will ever need, then the Bond is well worth a look. GM
