In order to maximise accuracy, most shooters will use something to support the weight of their rifle, and a pair of soft, dense shooting bags is a popular choice. The Shooting Rest bags from BSA consists of two supports, which are supplied empty and flat packed. They can then be filled by pulling open a folded tube and funnelling in a medium such as dry split peas/lentils, sand, rice, or polystyrene balls, depending on the user’s preference. Once full, the tubes seal with Velcro, and can be tucked inside to prevent leaking. They are both manufactured from a tough, coated Denier-style material and the design incorporates a V-notch. This helps to stop the rifle falling off/out of the support and to keep recoil in-line to improve accuracy and consistency. The smaller one can be positioned at the base of the butt, to allow the user to maintain and manipulate elevation, by simply squeezing and releasing it. The larger is designed to take the weight of the rifle and includes a soft touch panel sewn into the main top contact surface, to mitigate damage to the forend. Both include a clasp ring to join them together for easy transport and storage. In use, they are the perfect size, work extremely well and are surely one of the best value accessories on the market.
