Similarly, the larger 4x4 Pro-gator 2030A offers 24hp three-cylinder diesel power, a five-speed synchromesh transmission and a maximum cargo capacity of 1,202kg in the far more capacious load bed.

Next comes the 4x2 and 4x4 T – Series, the TE providing 48 volt electrical power, the TS, TX and TX Turf 9.7 to 10.9hp petrol engines and a maximum 272kg payload whilst the TH 6x4 almost doubles capacity to 454kg whilst all T – Series models benefit from throttle pedal start, independent suspension and disc brakes.

For those looking to spend the majority of their time traversing more unpleasant surfaces, John Deere now offer the 18.5hp HPX and 21.9hp XUV 850. Able to carry a maximum of 635kg with an additional 590kg towing maximum, both boast locking diffs, on demand 4x4 along with MacPherson struts and coil over shock suspension.
