It’s all very well carrying your airgun pellets in your pocket but they’ll soon get damaged or dirty, and feeding grit and fluff into your air rifle isn’t really going to do it any good. Far better to carry your ammo in a purpose made pellet pouch, but what about spare magazines? The answer is in the combined pellet/magazine pouch from The item is simplicity itself, a semi-circular pouch, 5” wide and 4’ deep, made from hardwearing 1000d water resistant Cordura fabric. A cord is stitched into the pouch, so that it can be carried round your neck. One side of the pouch holds more pellets than you’ll ever need for a hunting trip or competition course and the other section keeps magazines free from contamination.
The item reviewed is made from DPM material, but other colours such as black, green, blue and even pink are available. The edges of the pouch are reinforced to ensure durability. Both compartments are held firmly closed by zips, so the contents won’t spill all over the place, even when stored in a gunbag. Even a couple of large magazines, such as those used in the Theoben Rapid 17 fit in with ease and I can see this little product becoming very popular. And if you are fortunate to have more than rifle, these pouches are affordable enough to buy one for each of them.
I’ve also used one of these well made little pouches to carry .22 Hornet cartridges and a spare magazine, so they’re not just for airgunners.
Priced at just £10 including post and packing, they’re bound to sell well. To order, go to www.customsportingmatsandhides.co.uk or call 01268 655 179.
