GRS Rear Bag

Many years ago, I was given a small, camo, nylon bag stuffed with polystyrene beads, which was described to me as a field bag. A bit small I thought, but then realised that it was to go under the butt of my rifle and I have carried it ever since, be it for hunting or gun testing. Light and compact, but big enough to squeeze up for extra support or simply to raise the butt a bit, it’s one of those things you don’t think much about, but always need. These, days many companies offer such items, but reasonably new to this area is Grodas Rifle Stocks (GRS) with their take on the field bag. GRS calls it the Rear Bag; logical! As I have proven many times, it will help you to shoot more accurately off a bipod and, in truth, is far more effective than a monopod. I say this as the surface of the bag is smooth, to let the stock slide easily during recoil, giving you maximum accuracy. Plus, it grips the sides of the butt and you can squeeze it in to adjust height, or for more stability. Sensibly, it has a carabiner, so that you can attach to your gear and a carry handle too. Made of tough, green nylon material, it’s packed with plastic granules and measures 10cm, width and 12cm high (un-compressed) and weighs 725 grams.
