Helikon Accuracy Shooting Bag ‘Pillow’

I have been using a range of Helikon rest bags for several years now and always seem to have a combination to suit whichever rifle is in for review. The new Pillow bag has now been added to my armoury as well. These 100% Cordura Nylon rest bags are supplied unfilled, and the company recommends lightweight fillers like cat litter or bbs. However, my preference is rice. The sturdy YKK zippers are solidly stitched in place, with neat seams throughout. All my other examples, even those with the odd snag, have proven tough and durable. Fitted straps with Velcro fastenings allow for bag compression or attachment to your rifle. The bag can be used as a rear bag for squeezed compression/elevation control or as a rest bag to drape over a rail or barricade when making a supported shot. Different fillings will suit different shooters, and you can control the fill quantity to fit your scenario. Although not 100% waterproof, I don’t seem to struggle when using long-grain rice, and I particularly like its shape retention when moulded and its anti-bounce properties through recoil. The bare weight is just 75g, and I used approximately 1100g of rice for the perfect padding in this 24x15x8cm (9.4"x5.9”) bag. Overall, this product will make a great gift for any shooter, whether they use an air rifle, centrefire or rimfire.
