The Outdoor Connection Mega-Benchbag is a great companion at the range, especially for rifles that won’t accept a bipod, to get the most out of the gun when zeroing. It’s supplied unfilled, allowing you to use the ballast of choice for either ultimate rifle support or compatibility with your transport requirements. Items like polymer beads being the lightest, sand the heaviest or rice/wheat somewhere in between. The ‘X-Shaped’ cross section of the Cordura bag shows secure fill tubes that tuck back under themselves to prevent ‘leakage’, cartridge pockets and carry handles on both sides.
Durable Nubuck leather surfaces top the bag to rest and aim your rifle within the 3-inch deep groove, more akin to being hand held rather than clamped into a mechanical lock. At 12-inches long and the same in width, overall height of 9-inches with the recessed shape holds your gun 6-inches from the bench or ground you are shooting from and if you prefer a slightly slicker texture, flip the whole bag upside down for the smoother Cordura texture.
When full, the 10kg + weight will not slip or slide around under recoil and with a smaller rear bag under the rifle’s butt, you can even run lighter calibres freely recoiling for beginner level ‘Benchrest’ performance. Heavily recoiling rifles can always benefit from being shot from a supportive bag like this that cuts the tendency to jump laterally, not just backwards under recoil, so the Mega-Benchbag comes in handy from all levels of users.
