Clulite PLR-650 Mighty Ranger LED Spotlight

There’s no disputing that lamping kits, including handheld spot lamps, have come a long way in a short space of time. If you’re looking for ultra-hi-power then Cluson Engineering has leapt ahead with the launch of the phenomenally powerful PLR-650 Mighty Ranger. It is IP65 weatherproof rated and including battery, it weighs 757-grams.

The well-sized yet manageable lamp uses a 65W CREE LED to produce 6,500 Lumens, throwing a beam out to 1500m. The head measures 110mm in diameter and houses a computer designed deep reflector to harness all the power from the highquality LED. Operation is via the single rubberised trigger switch at the top of the contoured grip, which also has forward finger ridging for comfort in use. It boasts three brightness levels and the power and run times are: Low - 2.5hrs, Medium -1.5hrs and High- 1hr. Power comes from the Li-ion 12.6V 2600mah rechargeable battery, which clips onto the base of the handle and includes a power indicator.

The PLR-650 is so well designed, it balances perfectly in the hand and is incredibly lightweight, even with the power pack onboard. The full setup includes the lamp, Liion rechargeable battery pack, mains charger and a vehicle adaptor pack. Also, red filters are available and sold separately.
