Morakniv Companion Black

Truth is a good knife does not have to be expensive, and Mora’s Companion Black is a good example! The blade is a simple drop point design and offers the option of MG carbon steel or stainless with a standard V-grind. Strength is there too with the 3/4-lenght tang with the polymer handle moulded directly onto it, it’s covered in what they call a ‘soft grip’, which is a textured, rubber outer coating. Mora also offer it with the hilt and pommel in a range of colours; for the hunter orange is favourite as if you put it down there’s more chance of seeing it! In use it offered a sure and secure hold even when your hands are slick with blood. Also it’s shaped to give an easy, edge-up hold too! Blade length is 4” with a slim and pointed tip, which allows you to get into awkward areas easily. It’s 8.5” long and weighs a pleasingly light 75-grams. The sheath is a one-piece polymer moulding complete with quick detachable belt hanger and an integral slot so it could be attached to braces buttons too. There’s a drain hole in the base and retention is by a long, enveloping throat and locking dimple.
