Even though Jack Pyke have a comprehensive selection of waterproof outdoor clothing, they continually strive to serve particular requirements, and the Rannock Jacket is an ideal example of that ethos. In that respect, although they have many options of heavier jacket and smock type garments, they don’t have the same amount or choice of clothing that you’d class as being strictly for wet weather use. That’s in the sense the garment can easily be stored, packed and/ or transported so as to be quickly thrown over your other clothing should the weather suddenly turn very inclement.
So, joining the options they already have comes the Rannock, a light and very packable hooded jacket style top that’s manufactured from their now acclaimed Stealth Fabric. This is made up of a 100% polyester brushed tricot with a laminated membrane making the material waterproof, breathable and silent in use.
It’s very lightweight with a full mesh non-padded inner for comfort and features a full-length double zip front opening with a storm flap press-stud down over flap.
The hood is just the right size to cover you fully but not be obtrusive and has twin toggle adjust drawcords. There are 2x front lower cargo/bellows style pockets with Velcro closure over-flaps plus it boasts adjustable Velcro straps at the cuffs and toggle adjust drawcords at the lower hemline.
All fasteners and adjusters are weatherproof, and the jacket is available in Forest Brown, Forest Green and English Oak Evolution.
