Hawke are well known for their range of optics, which include; rifle scopes, binoculars, spotting scopes, red dot sights and of course laser range finders (LRF). The Hunter 400 LRF is the entry-level model in their range and is packed with features. It has the capability to measure the distance to targets out to 400m, with an accuracy of +/-1m. The reticle includes a center circle with horizontal and vertical lines, a readout in either yards or meters, a laser emission signal, target quality and low battery indicators and targeting mode display. There are three modes to select from; STANDARD measures the straightline distance to the target also offering continuous scan, RAIN, which is designed to ignore interference from falling rain and finally HUNT, which ignores obstructions, such as foliage etc. This model features 6 x magnification with diopter adjustment, fully coated lenses and it is nitrogen-purged, water and fog proof. It also has an auto shut off feature to preserve battery life. It comes with a single CR2 battery, wrist strap, carry case and a lens cloth. It is a lightweight and compact design measuring 3.8” (L) x 3” (H) x 1.65” (W) and weighs 141g.
