Air Arms Gun Bag

With its classic shape this new gun bag from Air Arms at first glance looks fairly typical of its type.The materials used in the construction come as no surprise either.  The outer shell is made from 600D Polyester, which should be durable, although the soft fleece lining of the interior doesn’t feel typical and is very nice. 
Dense foam padding is sandwiched between the two for added protection from knocks and scrapes.

There are a few features that stand out.  First of all another look at that classic shape reveals a much deeper profile than many cases of this type.  Overall length is about 1130 cm and height approximately 31cm.

I tried a selection of scoped rifles in the case and there was plenty of space.  Larger field target style rifle and scope combinations will not fit but the design suggests it is targeted for use with rifles of a more sporting nature. 

Features

A two way full length zip makes life easier allowing the case to be closed along the top rather than right down at one end.  The zip tabs are rubberised, therefore easy to grip,with Air Arms logo to match the branding on the side of the case - which just shows that some thought has gone into the detailing.  The zips run smoothly and will also accept a small padlock for additional security.

On one side of the case a storage pocket can be found.  Opening the zippered pocket reveals yet more secure pockets suitable for items such as pellet tins, spare magazines or tools.  A further pocket on the inside of the storage pocket, which I initially missed, looks useful for any paperwork or a wallet.

There is pair of webbing carry handles positioned on the top of the case that can be fastened together for a little extra comfort.  If however you prefer to sling your rifle over your shoulder, a strap is attached along the bottom edge.  This is adjustable for length and incorporates a pad to give a bit of extra comfort.

Traditional in style this case may be, but the design is well thought-through and the Air Arms branding brings with it a fresh up to date look.
