Jack Pyke Light Leaf Concealment Suit

Jack Pyke designed a similar system to this over 10 years ago, offered in both English Oak and English Woodlands. However, due to the success of their latest camo design, English Oak Evolution, the company decided to resurrect the concept, albeit with a facelift and redesign.

Leafy build

All items have a lightweight, 100% polyester mesh build, upon which full and half profile, precision die-cut leaves attach. The leaves integrated into the build of the garments hang free, which in many areas allows them to stand away from the clothing they attach to. This leafy build is what disrupts and conceals the hard outline of the unmistakable human form.

A touch of the ghillies

The LLCS is a ‘modular system’ that builds up to offer the hunter complete concealment and the twopiece ghillie suit comprises of a jacket and trousers.

The jacket has a drawcord toggle adjust hood with elasticated cuffs and elasticated hemline with toggle cord adjust. It fastens up the front using weatherproof, heavy-duty press stud fasteners. The trousers are of an overtrouser design and have a toggle cord adjust elasticated waist, plus elasticated ankle cuffs.

The suit is extremely light, weighing 480-grams and packs down easily to be stored in its own mesh bag with a drawstring top. Both items show a generous cut as befits this type of very lightweight over-wear.

Head, hands and face

To fully complement and conceal the wearer, there are also garments to cover the head, hands and face. These include an LLCS baseball cap, gloves, baseball cap with veil and full balaclava.

The JP LLCS 3D baseball cap has a mesh top and features the same 3D English Oak Evolution camo leaves on the top. It adjusts with a Velcro strap on the back.

The gloves feature 3D Evo camo leaves only on the upper side and back of the fingers. Resin dots on the palm and inner finger side provide additional grip when using the gloves during wet weather. The gloves also feature Spandex wrist cuffs, allowing a comfortable fit for most wearers.

The LLCS 3D baseball cap with veil again uses a mesh top that’s dressed with 3D Evo camo leaves. It adjusts with a Velcro adjuster on the back. The mesh veil with eye holes is attached to the base of the cap and fully extends for concealment of the lower face and neck.

The balaclava is an excellent addition and can easily be adjusted with double tiebacks on the side. When not in use, the Clearview camo veil over the eye hole can be folded up and concealed under the top of the headgear.

Conclusions

The 3D Light Leaf Concealment System is a superb option for fully concealing yourself without using a hide for certain ambushing situations, especially when you want/ need to change positions quickly and easily. All garments are light, quiet in use, very comfortable to wear and easily stored in a rucksack.
