“If you want to get ahead – get a hat” as the saying goes – and what a hat the Inyati is! Made in Africa from 2mm full-grain buffalo hide and featuring a medium brim with an attractive flyband, the Inyati (Buffalo) Hat is comfortable, tough and keeps the weather off in style.
The brim is wide enough to keep the sun out of your eyes, or the rain off your neck, and 3 vent holes in each side of the crown allow fair ventilation when it gets warm, while the brim is not so wide as to interfere with shooting, be it a firearm or bow you are using.
Having seen Cape Buffalo at close quarters (too close – in close bush – on a foot safari – our exfiltration was silent and swift!) I was pleased to see a distinctive texture of the hide was plainly visible in the Inyati Hat. With this natural patterning in the leather, each hat is individual and distinctly unique.
I have tried various leather hats in the past, but with the Inyati I think I have found the one that suits me best – tough, ruggedly built, unfazed by any kind of weather, and good looking (Editor’s Note: that’s the hat he’s talking about).
Costing around £47.50 the Rogue Inyati Buffalo Leather Hat is available in a full range of sizes and would appear to be a great choice for year round use. It will get even better looking and more comfortable with use.
