Harkila make some great clothing, often perched at the very top of the quality tree. Their Annaboda jersey is a 100% wool mid/outer layer lined with Gore Windstopper to eliminate any chill drifting through the outer heavily woven wool insulation. With a ribbed hem, cuffs and collar that zips right up under the chin, this jersey also makes a great outer layer on warmer spring days.
Although initially seeming quite bulky in weight, freedom of movement is very generous owing to the natural comfort of wool’s flexibility and extra reinforcement is given at the elbows with suede patches for shooting prone, while a zippered pocket on the left of the chest will accommodate small valuables. As a mid-layer worn under any jacket, it will fight off those biting cold days of winter, waiting motionless in a tree stand can be torture!
Breathability is slightly compromised by the thermal nature of the jersey so it isn’t for the hill stalker hard at work unless worn on its own. Humidity can build up internally but even the ambush rabbit shooter, generating little body temperature on a spring evening will appreciate the warmth. Available in six colours and sizes from Small through to XXXL this item exudes quality and shows its thoroughbred Scandinavian heritage in defying the elements. Care must be taken to follow the instructions to the letter to avoid shrinkage or loss of shape when washing but warmth and comfort like this always has a price.
The Harkila Annaboda Jersey is priced at £149.99. For a local stockist contact Simon Esnouf on 07887 997788 or visit the website at www.seeland.com
