The Pinewood ‘Westfold’ Jacket is part of theie Hunting Collection range and is a lightweight waterproof shell that has proved its worth in warm and wet conditions.
It is made from a brushed microfibre outer fabric with a laminated breathable, waterproof, membrane and taped seams. With a Teflon outer fabric treatment the jacket sheds water well and is stain resistant, as well as being smart and comfortable.
Features
The hip length Westfold Jacket features a high snug fleecy-lined collar, a full lining that is made of a mesh fabric over most of the body to aid ventilation, a water-resistant full-length front zip with a back baffle and fleecy zip ‘garage’ at the top. Other features include elasticated Velcro tab-adjusted cuffs, an elasticated hem drawcord with twin side mounted cord lock adjusters, two angled lower pockets with water-resistant zips, an angled ‘radio’ pocket with a water-resistant zip high on the left chest, an internal zipped ‘security’ pocket in the left front and a zip-off hood.
The hood itself has a deep, padded and stiffened peak, an elasticated front drawcord with locking adjusters, an elasticated rear volume adjuster with a locking cord adjuster and a full mesh lining.
Slim Cut
A smart looking and practical, functional jacket, the Westfold has a raglan cut shoulder for freedom of movement. Although I found the jacket very good in almost every respect, I did find the cut quite slim for its sizing. Being a Scandinavian company, Pinewood tend to size their garments for tall, slim Nordic types as opposed to my short, wide Celtic build…
The Pinewood Westfold Jacket is smart, practical and well up to field, as well as casual use. Available in ‘Hunter Brown’ in sizes S-3XL (though if you are my shape you may need to go a size larger than your norm), the Pinewood Westfold Jacket costs around £129.99.
