Good quality, multi-purpose shoulder bags are becoming very popular among all sorts of shooters, and non-shooters for that matter, and the 5:11 Tactical PUSH Pack is one of the best of this type of bag that I have seen.
The 5:11 PUSH (Practical Utility Shoulder Hold-all) is made from 1,000d nylon, is ruggedly constructed and is well sized to hold a wide range of kit, from pistols to cameras, comfortably and securely.
Carry All ‘Grab Bag’
The main compartment measures approximately 8” x 8” x 3.75” with internal dividers, one of mesh and one of solid fabric, to give good internal organisers. The back of the main compartment also features pen and card-holders, while the base has two metal drain eyelets. On the front of the main compartment is a Velcro-closed, open top pocket. The lid of the PUSH closes with an oversized adjustable quick-release buckle on 1.5” webbing and the buckle itself has an elasticated security cover.
On the outside of the lid there is a strip of Velcro “fur” mounted on “daisy-chain” stitched webbing for attaching name tapes or extra kit, a zip for accessing a pocket of approx 8” x 4”, and a top pocket of approx 2.5” x 7” x 1.5” with a full-length top zip. The front edge of the lid is stiffened and the lid is fully lined.
Each side of the main compartment there are expanding pockets with twin, linked zippers that open to reveal mesh expansion panels, and a Velcro top closure. Unexpanded, the side pockets measure approx 7” x 4” x 1.5”, expanded they increase to about 7” x 4” x 3”, and can hold a one-litre water bottle. There are webbing loops on the forward panels of the side pockets and under the main compartment for affixing extra kit.
The main compartment is attached to the ergonomically shaped back panel, which has “Aerospacer” mesh-covered foam padding units for comfort and a Velcro-closed webbing belt loop (to stop the bag moving during vigorous activity) on the “body” side. There are two small open-topped pockets in the “horns” of the panel, as well as webbing loops for attaching extra items and Velcro “fur” patches for attaching 5:11’s back-up belt system pouches (or similar).
A Man Bag For Real Men!
The PUSH Pack has a fully-adjustable 1.5” shoulder strap with a quick release buckle closure (again with an elasticated cover), a removable Aerospacer foam pad and a webbing loop for adding extra kit.
Made to the standard you expect from 5:11 Tactical, from quality materials, the PUSH Pack is a very versatile shoulder bag that is capable of holding a surprising amount of gear in comfort and a well-organised manner.
Coming in Black, Flat Dark Earth or Tac Olive Drab, the PUSH Pack costs around £47.99 and is cooler (in all senses) than a bum bag, more accessible than a daysack and tough enough for really rugged use. A “man bag” for real men!
