Triton Water Resistant Daysack

The Triton Water Resistant Daysack from Highlander is a tough and weather-beating 20-litre capacity item, well suited to carrying kit in the worst of weathers. Made from durable ultrasonically welded TPU materials, the daysack has one main compartment which closes with a double-ended water resistant “U” shaped zip, which is itself protected by a storm flap. Inside the daysack the back panel has a large zipped pocket and several smaller open-topped pockets for organising notebooks, phone, pens etc, while the outside front of the daysack has a pocket with a water resistant zip and storm flap closure.
On top of this pocket there is an elastic topped mesh pocket and on top of that there are compression bungees and “daisychain” webbing for attaching extra kit. The daysack’s sides also have small elastic topped mesh pockets and side compression straps that can be used to stabilise loads or to hold extra kit in place.
The harness system comprises a padded and vented airmesh panel, lightly padded adjustable shoulder straps, a chest strap, an unpadded waist belt and an ergonomic grab handle.
I have tested this daysack in a variety of conditions, including a canoe camping expedition, and have found it comfortable, tough, easy to clean and very practical in use. It is extremely water resistant – but not 100% immersion proof due to the tiny gap between the dual zip-pullers when they are closed. Few other daysacks I have tried are as water resistant as the Triton!
Tough, practical and very water resistant, the Triton comes in Black/Grey, Blue/Grey or Lime/Grey and costs around £40.
