• 1: Saturday. A giant flea market is being held at the Bath & West Showground at Shepton Mallet, Somerset, BA4 6QN. Doors open between 9-30am and 4pm. Collectables for most interests, including some militaria. www.sheptonflea.com

• 1 and 2: Saturday and Sunday. Chalke Valley History Festival, Broad Chalke, Salisbury, Hants., SP5 5DP. This is the continuation of a week-long event which started on 26 June. Historical displays, presentations with guest speakers, trade stands, and much more. www.cvhf.org.uk

• 9: Sunday. The famous ‘Dallas Dig Out’ is being held at Cold Ash Farm, Long Lane, Hermitage, Newbury, RG18 9LT. Bring and buy at this unusual car boot for militaria collectors and vehicle owners. www.dallasautoparts.com

• 16: Sunday. A militaria and medal fair is being held at the Stratford Leisure and Visitor Centre, Bridgefoot, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warks., CV37 6YY. Doors open between 10-30am and 2pm. • 23: Sunday. The Boscombe Down Aviation Collection is hosting an IPMS model show in Hangar 1 South, Old Sarum Airfield, Salisbury, Hants., SP4 6DZ. Doors open between 10am and 4pm.
