Lee Pacesetter Die Set

Last month, we looked at Lee Precision’s Ultimate reloading four die set, at just £55.50. However, if you want a little more economy, but still the ability to product top quality ammo then their Pacesetter set is equally effective. We got ours in 6mm Creedmoor for a Ruger Precision Rifle we have on test soon. No real surprises here, as this one offers a three die set up, with the usual extras, which they include as standard and would be an add-on purchase with other manufacturers. So, what do you get? First, a standard, full-length sizing and de-capping unit, a dead length bullet seater and the factory crimp die. The last of which allows you to adjust neck tension and thus adds more consistency to the bullet pull of the calibre being loaded, along with a reduction in extreme velocity spread (ES). Conversely, you can opt for the other set, with a powder-through die instead for easy case filling. All dies are easy to adjust, thanks to the rubber O-ring incorporated into the locking nut. Also included, is a shell holder and Lee’s simple but efficient powder scoop system that negates the need for scales or dispenser. This is backed up by full instructions and load data and all at a price considerably less than their Ultimate set, with no loss of quality and ability.
