British Deer Society Announces New Partnership with GMK Ltd

The British Deer Society has struck a multi-year partnership with GMK Ltd that will see the equipment distributor’s brands used across the society’s training courses.
Under the deal, BDS instructors will field-test rifles, moderators and stalking kit provided by GMK, enabling them to guide members on what works in real-world conditions.
The society’s head of training, Nick Rout, described the partnership as being “rooted in purpose”. He said, “I’m thrilled because it represents perfectly why having top-notch equipment is one of the key elements for ensuring best practice standards in deer management.”
The partnership will see GMK supporting the British Deer Society’s fundraising through raffles and prize draws, giving members the chance to win gear from its stable of brands, which include Tikka, Beretta and Sako.
In addition, GMK is donating safety glasses and hearing protection to Humane Animal Dispatch volunteers who work with police forces responding to deer-vehicle collisions. The volunteers, including those operating with Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary, provide a swift and humane dispatch service for injured animals.
Both organisations will appear together at The Stalking Show and other countryside events throughout the partnership.
