QuickLOAD offers reloaders access to a database of propellants, with the program able to calculate the burn rates, barrel times, pressures etc. that are generated, and how this affects performance and mechanical safety. Bullet weights, diameters, types, and all relevant data are there to be factored in. QuickTARGET allows you to calculate bullet drop, drag, wind drift etc., plus factors in all the other exterior variables that will affect the bullet’s path and how it travels along it. As well as detailing the history of the British sniper, the author explains the chain of command and the primary role of the sniper, before going into great detail about marksmanship. It is this section that all shooters will find particularly interesting, as it includes breathing and trigger control, shooting positions, ballistics, grouping and zeroing, miss drills, cleaning etc. Overall, there is a good chance that any shooter, no matter their experience, could learn a thing or two from this section.

The British Shooting Show tickets

The legendary British Shooting Show is the largest trade and retail shooting show in the UK. It will be held from the 14 to 16 February 2025 at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) Birmingham and will be open 9 am to 4 pm each day. Visitors will be able to browse a vast range of firearms, shotguns, airguns, thermal/night vision, accessories etc. from all the major manufacturers and distributors. TIER-ONE ELR V2 BIPOD

A bipod is an essential piece of equipment that significantly impacts stability and accuracy while shooting. Tier-One uses state-of-the-art CNC machinery to machine the ELR V2 from solid billet 7075 series aluminium alloy, chosen because of its excellent strength-to-weight ratio. The Eagle is the latest PCP from Webley, and it represents excellent value for money. As well as a regulated, multi-shot action, this rifle boasts a 420cc buddy bottle, a free-floating barrel, side-lever action, and a thumbhole walnut stock. Inside the box, you also get two magazines, a silencer, a filling adaptor, spare seals, Allen keys, and instructions. The rifle takes a 220bar fill via a Foster filler valve, and the magazine offers up 14 shots in .177 or 12 shots in .22. Scope mounting couldn’t be easier, as there is a dual dovetail and Picatinny rail fitted up top.

Vortex defender flip-caps

The Vortex Defender Flip Caps are available in a variety of sizes, to fit the rear ocular lens and also the front objective. Plus, with a flexible, soft rubber body, each size allows for 4-5mm of flexibility. The design incorporates a small spring-loaded clip, but it also allows the open cap to be set in three positions - vertical, halfway, and flat. Closure is firm and precise.
