Mildot Master

Mildot Master

story continues below...

Confused by Mil-Dot scopes? Well you never need to be again with Mildot Master. The world and his wife all seem to have Mil-Dot reticules in their scopes, it’s more fashion than function, as some shooters do not have a clue what it’s for. Yes it can be used as a ladder reticule, but it’s in fact a visual, rangefinding system. It works on the number of dots a known height or width target subtends, which when calculated using a formula gives the range in yards or meters. Which requires a bit of math!

Mildot Master does away with all that calculation as it’s a slide rule. All you do is insert the yards or meters card, look through your scope and see how many Mils the target subtends. Then compare the height of the target to the Mil scale and you get the range read out. Next to this is a bullet drop compensator that can be used in conjunction, given that you know your rifles ballistics.
