Gunmakers’ Trust Welcomes First Apprentice in Scotland

The Gunmakers’ Trust has announced that Rachel Moir of McKay Brown Gunmakers Ltd is the latest apprentice to receive a Gunmakers’ Trust Bursary Award and the first apprentice in Scotland to be supported by the Trust. Rachel will be undertaking a four-year apprenticeship, developing her skills as an actioner, lock-maker, and finisher. On successful completion, she will be eligible to apply to the Worshipful Company of Gunmakers Certification Panel for accreditation. The Gunmakers’ Trust said it was delighted to welcome Rachel and wished her every success as she embarks on her training journey.
