Lothar Walther Marks 100 Years of Precision Barrel Manufacturing

German barrel manufacturer Lothar Walther marked its 100th anniversary with a company celebration in Bavaria. Founded in 1925 by Lothar Walther in Zella-Mehlis, Thuringia, the company has built a reputation for manufacturing high-quality precision barrels and small-calibre weapons across sporting, hunting and professional markets.

A Century of Family Legacy

Today, grandsons Dr Frank Walther and Gerd Walther continue the family legacy, maintaining the precision engineering standards that have made Lothar Walther barrels sought after by gunsmiths and shooters worldwide. The centenary celebration saw staff enjoy go-karting at the Bavaria Kart track, with toolmaker Henrik Sittko setting the fastest lap time, followed by refreshments at Pflug Brewery in Hörvelsingen.
