Barrett Fieldcraft– A light, accurate and reliable hunting rifle

When you imagine a Barrett rifle, most people tend to conjure up an image of a tactical long-range performance rifle, typically found on target ranges. Breaking away from tradition, the US rifle manufacturer has just released the Barrett Fieldcraft™, a new lightweight hunting rifle, which has all the functionality and characteristics you’d expect from such a brand.

Exclusively distributed in the UK by Edgar Brothers, the bolt-action Fieldcraft™ weighs 5-6lb and features an ultra-precision barrel, designed to perform at that critical moment. For rigidity and to prevent corrosion and weakness, the bolt handle is attached to the bolt using a t-groove, fitted and pinned into place. The action is optimised and scaled specific to calibre. Each barrelled action is fully hand-bedded to the stock for maximum accuracy. All models come with a crisp single-stage adjustable Timney trigger, with a hand-laid carbon fibre stock, unyielding and lightweight.

With a two-position safety, users will easily be able to manipulate the catch in the field, even whilst wearing gloves. Designed with a top-loaded four-round magazine, hunters will never need to worry about losing their magazine.

The rifle is available in the following calibres: .243 Winchester, .22-250 Remington, 6.5 Creedmoor, 6mm Creedmoor, 7mm-08 Remington, .308 Winchester, .25-06 Remington, .270 Winchester, .30-06 Springfield and 6.5x55 Swede. Threaded barrels are available in 18-inch models only.
