The Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust confirms presence at The Game Fair

The Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT) has confirmed it will have a stand at The Game Fair 2017, to be held at Hatfield House in Hertfordshire, on Friday 28 to Sunday 30 July. Andrew Gilruth, Director of Membership, Marketing and Communications at the GWCT said the organisation was delighted to be attending: “The GWCT has a long historical association with The Game Fair. Last year’s Game Fair impressed us with its feeling of inclusion and the layout, and I’m sure this year’s will be even better.” The GWCT will be focusing on a campaign to conserve lowland curlews at The Game Fair, which are struggling, according to Andrew: “We want to raise awareness, particularly with people on the ground – gamekeepers, farmers and shooters, and The Game Fair is the ideal place to do that.”

Lord Salisbury, who is President of the GWCT and owner of Hatfield House, commented: “The Game Fair is a great institution which shows country pursuits and rural communities at their best.
