Modern Reloading

Lee Precision updated their manual in 2017 and it has changed a fair bit from the previous version. What makes it stand-out is that, in addition to reloading data, it has chapters covering all the various aspects of reloading in easy to read and simple to understand language. Not overly technical, it gives valuable instruction and guidance to both the practiced reloader and the complete novice.
It covers all aspects of reloading in great detail, not only explaining the dos and don’ts but also the reasoning behind the advice. With chapters on each stage of the reloading process, the book is ideal for anyone considering taking up reloading. The book goes on to discuss more advanced elements of the process and the subject of pressure is covered extensively. Bullet casting is also covered, with lots of useful advice of aspects like safety, mixing alloys and lubricating your finished bullets.
The remaining three-quarters of the book lists the largest number of loads I have seen! Covering calibres from the 5.7 x 28 FN up to the 50 Browning Machine Gun, it is hard to find a calibre that is not listed. There are in excess of 37000 loads in the book and it includes all the powders readily available here in the UK. Without wanting to reference any religious publication for comparison, and risking causing offence, I would simply say that this is indeed my ‘Good Book’ when in need of (reloading) inspiration.
