Hornady One Shot Case Sizing Wax

› Lubricating cases before resizing is the messiest stage of the reloading process, and it also slows it down. Rolling cases on a lube mat or spraying them with lubricant often leads to it getting onto your hands, and it is difficult to control the amount or distribution of lubricant on the cases. Too much lubricant can lead to dented cases, and too little can mean one gets stuck in the resizing die.
Hornady’s One Shot case sizing wax is applied by dabbing it on your finger and thumb and then rubbing it onto the case. It is a firm, wax-based lubricant, with built-in tarnish inhibitors, and it stays exactly where you put it due to its consistency. There is no sticky residue, and it wipes off very easily. The amount that you need is very small and, as it has so little mass, it is highly unlikely that you will apply too much, which means no dented cases.
This is an easy-to-use case lubricant, and, because you only need to use a very small amount, a tin will last a long time. If you apply the wax around the top half of the case, it works to lubricate the lower half and the inner surface of the die, to give smooth and consistent resizing. It is a very clean alternative to other forms of lubricant and is certainly faster to use. You can apply One Shot case sizing wax, wipe your finger and thumb with a dry cloth, and you are good to go.
