Any Sharp Knife Sharpener

I have several knives at the back of the kitchen draw that have been in need of a quick sharpen but it’s just one of those jobs that I’d just not round to! Enter the ‘Any Sharp’ and they are all in tip-top condition again! It’s a very simple, steelbodied device, 2½-inches in diameter that clamps securely to a worktop, via its ‘Power Grip’ suction cup that is activated by a simple clamp that is lowered using your thumb. The cam mechanism raises the centre of the suction cup on the base of the circular unit and it can’t be moved unless the clamp is raised again.
There are twin tungsten carbide sharpening inserts on the plastic top, pre-set at 20-degrees and the knife blade is simply drawn through them a couple of times. If the blade is very blunt, a few more strokes may be needed and to get the optimum edge, the last few should be quite gentle. Straight, curved and serrated knives can be sharpened using this great little device and as you use it one-handed, it’s very safe.
