Carbee Sharp Sharpener

The CarBee-Sharp is a small and unobtrusive knife sharpener that can be carried in the pocket or attached to clothing with its integral plastic clothing clip in the cover.

This little tool offers a multi-profile head made of precision-extruded sintered carbide with ground and finished faces to allow you to sharpen, refi ne and polish a whole range of knives, tools and implements. The CarBee- Sharp is always used dry. The carbide multi-head is set into a plastic handle/carrier and is specially designed for use without any lubricants or cutting fluids. The plastic cover can be attached to the base of the multi-profi le head to extend the length of the handle.

Sharpening is performed with either of the two precision formed V-profiles. Using the edge of these V-profiles as cutters the CarBee-Sharp shaves excess metal from the tool being sharpened. Refining (polishing) a sharpened edge is done with the special fl at, grooved surface which removes any roughness or imperfections left by the passage of the V-profile cutters. Burnishing or turning of edges where desired (for scrapers and similar tools) is performed with either of the two round profiles located on the sides of the multi-profile head.

In addition to the three profi es listed above, the hollow found between the V-profiles can be used to sharpen small, pointed objects such as fish hooks.

Maybe not as ‘easy’ as some sharpeners, but with a little bit of practice you’ll be able to sharpen everything from a penknife to a cleaver!
