A decent knife does not have to cost a fortune and there are some real bargains to be had nowadays. The Anglo Arms Deluxe Sheath Knife has an overall length of 9.75” and is a strong, fixed-blade, full tang knife with a steel bolster and a thick, 4.5” stainless steel blade. It has a reassuring heft to it and the wood handle really does fill the hand. The fit between the redwood scales and the steel is very good and the whole knife is nicely finished. Also, the butt of the knife shows a lanyard hole.
Anglo Arms supply their knives ready sharpened and the edge on this example came very well polished. Edge retention was great throughout testing and the blade appears to be sharpened to a relatively broad-angle so it is really tough and durable, making it ideal for a hunting or general-purpose knife. The nylon sheath is very basic but fit for purpose, and it is clear to see that the money has been spent on the knife itself, not the accessories. There is a large strong belt loop and a Velcro strap to secure the knife, while the seams are stitched and riveted for extra strength.
Overall this is a nice knife, well made and strong, and absolutely fantastic value.
