Measuring 4” X 1 ¼” X ¾” wide, this medium sized, cosmetically smooth lined ‘every day tool’ manages to sport an LED light that’s bright enough to be used as a standalone flashlight.
Cleverly stored within the Fit are tweezers, bottle opener, micro cross head driver, micro flat head driver and ‘Fiskar’ scissors. The Fit’s long drivers reach into the small spaces ‘typical’ multi-tools can’t.
The 25 Lumen LED flashlight powered by 1 X AAA battery provides a 47 Lumen light and is neatly positioned along the top, ideally positioned for use with the main ‘lock out’ tools such as the 2 ¾” fine edge part serrated blade and the interchangeable Large Cross & Flat Head Drivers and scissors. At the opposite end, deployed by a neatly sized serrated lever are the separate ‘micro drivers.’ All are stored below the top mounted LED unit and all tools (except the ‘micro drivers’) are accessed by thumb nicks or lugs from the opposite side. The ‘long’ drivers can be used in a 90º angled position to create extra torque when needed.
Gerber describe this modernistic yet useful piece of hardware as a ‘compact multi-tool with a refined design complementing their line of more specialist multi-tools.’ Not much to argue with there, except some might consider that this isn’t that compact.
