Leatherman OHT multi tool

The Stainless Steel OHT (One-Hand-Tool) measures 4.5-inches closed 6 5/8-inches in the open position and weighs a solid 9.9oz. This very stylish tool is also the only slide opening multitool that the company produce, in that the plier heads ‘slide-out’ from the mainframe, which can be done onehanded. To do this, hold the tool across the handles at the lower section, where there is the release mechanism and, using your thumb and forefinger, simultaneously depress both side buttons of the mechanism. The body easily drops down under inertia/its own weight, thus allowing the plier heads to slide out, where they lock out automatically and immediately engage with the very well designed and strong springloaded mechanism, which works with all tools. These include needlenose pliers and regular pliers, while at the base of the head are a set of 154cm replaceable wire cutters and 154cm replaceable hard-wire cutters.

All other tools featured deploy from the outer side of the handles and are made from 420HC Stainless-Steel and have a black oxide finish. Tools include a 2.37-inch fine edge knife blade, serrated knife, wood saw, small flathead, medium flathead, and large flathead screwdrivers, Phillips head screwdriver, can opener, bottle opener and, unfamiliar to some, will be the 2x EMT tools – an oxygen tank wrench and strap cutter; however, the threaded #8-32 Cleaning Rod Attachment is obviously in-keeping with our sport.

The synthetic handle plates provide a very comfortable feel and an assured grip and I love the OHT’s very appealing style and by design and its overall functionality.
