Strength hasn’t been compromised, even though the aluminium handles of this butterfly opener (including the straight edge 2 ½” long knife it contains) have been cleverly lightened.

When ‘opened’ you have access to a set of needlenose pliers, regular pliers, wire cutters and hard wire cutters. In the open position one side of the handle curves away. On the lower part of the bowed handle is a carabineer clip, which when pushed open also reveals a bottle opener. There’s also a removable pocket/belt clip. On the end of the other handle is a bit driver holding a double sided two size cross head bit held in a purpose holder in the frame of the unit. The one-handed opening 420HC stainless steel knife blade has a fine edge and is liner locked when deployed.

The alloy and steel model shown is the standard version but there’s also a Skeletool™ ‘CX’ model made from Tungsten coated steel, featuring carbon fibre scale detail and has the latest 154CM grade knife blade.
