Zero Tolerance Shroud Cutter JB2

Constructed of Sandvic 13C26 stainless steel (approx. 2.5mm thick) with a tough, Tungsten DLC coating in matte black, the business end of the JB2 is a 270° cutting notch. It easily slices through cord, webbing, belts, boot laces and even clothing, but the 0.34” ‘key-hole’ shaped entry point – although adding to safety and making the tool easier to ‘hook-on’ to the material to be cut – does restrict the diameter of the cord/rope that you can tackle. The non-exposed cutting notch ensures cutting only occurs where and when you want it, while a jimped choil on the top edge and a plain choil on the bottom edge give good grip and control when cutting. The JB2 also features a carbide glass breaking tip, two Oxygen tank wrench slots and a hex head slip wrench that will fit nuts and bolts of 3/8”, 7/16” and ½” – the slip wrench can also be used as a shackle key.
The tool comes with a jump rated adjustable Cordura sheath that will attach to belts or webbing up to 3” deep. The tool is a tight friction fit in the sheath and also has a quick release clip that attaches it to the sheath via an elasticated strap.
Overall length of the shroud cutter is a compact 6in (152mm), and it weighs just 3.4oz complete with sheath.
