Called the Sherpa suit - although the reasons why still elude me - this jacket and trousers camouflage hunting outfit typifies the Sportsman Gun Centre ethos. Well made, does exactly what it says it will, whilst offering genuine value for money, the price of the complete HSF Sherpa outfit less than that of a jacket from many of the other established brands. Conversely, the Sherpa suit cost only a fraction more than some of the cheap stuff found at various country shows.
The suit is finished in Realtree Advantage Timber, a photorealistic camo pattern that will work well in nearly all environments, proving practical in respect of concealment and performance. Manufactured from a blend of synthetic and natural fibres, the jacket and trousers remain fully waterproof whilst still breathable.
Plenty of Cargo Space
The jacket features six external pockets, two of them zipped, two internal pockets, a waist draw cord, zipped vents perchance you start to get warm along with a detachable hood plus a substantial full length zip and press stud storm flap. Velcro wrist straps mean you can lock out the rain and wind whilst the length of the jacket gives plenty of material for you to sit on. Fully lined, the jacket has been designed to strike a balance between summer and winter wear whilst the peach skin outer keeps movement noise to an absolute minimum.
Well Tailored Trousers
The trousers are based around the style of a pair of jeans with the addition of a high waist and kidney flap plus broad belt loops. Two front and rear pockets are complimented by a map and knife pocket on the leg whilst the ankle straps allow the shooter to pull the bottom of the trousers tight against their boots. When worn together the shooter can seal themselves in against the elements whilst remaining as warm or cool as they prefer all the while remaining comfortable in the knowledge that their high performance shooting attire cost them less than half of their mate’s gear, all thanks to SGC’s sensible approach to quality and value.
Sold separately perchance you only need either the jacket or trousers, the jacket will set you back £64.99p whilst the trousers are a mere £40.
