This was the much-vaunted Atlantic Wall and absorbed manpower, building material and weapons on a vast scale. This work, the result of three highly respected historians collaborating, covers this huge line of defences area by area, including the Channel Islands, which presents the reader with an opportunity to discover some parts which they may not have before considered.
