Marines in Vietnam

Like so many wars, the conflict in Vietnam has been over for a very long time. That means, if anything, our fascination with it is greater, as we try to understand it better. It has been the subject of many documentaries and books, including this title, which was first published in 2002, focuses on the US Marine Corps. After a brief introduction, it becomes a photograph album with extended captions. The quality of the images varies greatly from grainy to high-definition and the familiar to the unusual. Some are posed and others taken in the heat of battle. It serves well as a look into the subject, but do not expect anything too detailed. Perhaps re-enactors interested in the period might find it useful, but even they may have seen and read it before already.
