This book looks at everything connected with the planning, operation and aftermath of each phase of his campaigns. Modellers and war gamers fully appreciate the period, yet the wider audience among the military historians often overlooks his genius. This work corrects that oversight and will certainly reignite interest. Marlborough concerned himself with the welfare of his troops and the conduct of his campaigns in a way would not be copied until WWII.
A masterly work telling the history of a master of warfare which, hopefully, will introduce him to historians who may not as yet have studied him in the same depth as the author of this book.
