When the Soviet Army, as it was known in 1963, introduced the AT-3 ‘Sagger’, it introduced to the world the first generation of wire-guided anti-tank missiles and at a stroke changed the shape of warfare. In this book, the latest in the Duel Series’, the author considers the Sagger against the M60 American-built tank, specifically the Yom Kippur War of 1973. Each system was powerful, as related in this work, which tells part of the history in the arms race during the Cold War, when Russia and America effectively got their respective client states to battle test their latest weaponry for them. This makes very interesting reading, with analysis of ammunition types, tactics and technology being assessed in turn. Which came out on top? For that answer, you must read the book.
