The First World War took the fighting to sea, the air and land and on to continents where Europeans had never fought one another before. From artillery to the giant zeppelins which bombed London, it is all listed here. The book is essentially the compilation of a part-work series into a single, easy to access, volume. The three categories of land, sea and air weapons are laid out with sub-sections, each with a preface. This was a war of technology and each entry acknowledges this fact. The artwork is excellent and can be used my modellers and general readers wishing to know about a particular gun or aeroplane will enjoy this work.
