Originally published in 2011, it is due to books such as this the ladies now have more choice as to what they can depict. It is all very well taking part as a WAAF, WRN or ATS, but this book, which uses original equipment worn by re-enactors, shows a wide variety of uniforms and is an inspiration for a greater diversity of all three branches of the armed forces to be represented at events. Very nicely put together with explanatory text and captions, female re-enactors can turn out with great confidence after using this book as a reference work. Everything worn by servicewomen during the war, from lingerie and pyjamas to complete uniforms is covered. This is essential reading for ladies re-enacting British servicewomen in WWII.
