CSW have launched a range of replacement bolt knobs for the CZ452 and 455 rimfire rifles. Fitting takes less than one minute; simply de-cock the bolt, apply pressure to the rear of the firing pin, allowing the safety catch to lift out and hey presto, the bolt and handle/knob simply slides off the shaft. All you need to do is re-assemble in reverse using the CSW product, re-cock the bolt and hey bingo, a new bolt knob, handle and locking lugs, allowing greater freedom around the scope. Still giving 90-degress, the longer handle clears the large ocular bodies of newer scope styles and is especially useful when applied to rifles using bulkier night vision kit.
Operating the rifle is now faster and easier, with space for gloved hands to be kept clear of all the workings and less likely to snag anywhere critical. The safety catch and all other functions are identical to before, with the arm of the bolt knob acting as one action lug; the other to the opposite lower side, locking inside the action. Everything is neatly machined from either blued steel or hard-anodised aluminium and looks like CZ made it themselves, in an overall character totally in tune with the aesthetics of the rifle.
