TDI Arms GP2 Grip

I’m sure that all of us have seen on the news that our troops deployed overseas have been running externally upgraded rifles for some time. The now venerable L85 has been upgraded with a Daniel Defence front end rail that allows mounting of lights, lasers and other accessories. One of these accessories in particular, the foregrip with integrated bipod, has proved a real success with the troops and now Tdi Arms have released the GP2 which is being brought into the UK by GMK.

The GP2 is essentially a pivoting bipod and foregrip combined, so you get a double whammy by fitting just one lightweight assessory to your rail system. It’s manufactured from high density polymer and stainless steel, as this grip was built to endure the toughest conditions. It attaches to your Picatinny rail by means of a simple screw on bolt.

One push of the button located at the top rear of the grip instantaneously releases the bipod legs. On the issued model the bipod legs are pretty immobile, but with the Tdi Arms GP2 the base of the grip can swivel 60° to each side, giving a 120° total sight picture. Added to this the bipod legs can pivot side to side thereby compensating for uneven surfaces and then re-centre upon release.

The GP2 weighs in at only 250g so it’s not going to add significant “nose heaviness” to your gun. It’s got a great textured feel to it, with ergonomic finger grooves, and once mounted it feels like it’s as solid as a rock. I like my foregrips, and I have to say that the combination of grip and bipod really works for me!
