Jack Pyke’s already comprehensive range of gun luggage has now grown even larger with something there for all shooters. All available in their English Oak or English Woodland camo patterns and also green and brown too, which is sensible. These non-camo versions are now manufactured from DUOTEX (Durable Outer Textile), which offers a more classic look. All bags have a leather trim and a soft, synthetic lining with various degrees of internal foam padding dependant on model. The outers on most camo versions are manufactured from hard wearing, water-resistant 600D Cordura. 

Roll Up

First the Foldable Rifle Slip, which is as the name suggests offers compact storage. Granted, not a new idea, but the design measures 50 ¾ X 11” open with a simple flap and clip closure and an adjustable shoulder strap.  Its soft lined for protection and rolls up into a compact package secured by the clip. There’s an integral metal carabineer so you can clip it to your belt or pack. It weighs 510g.

The Rifle and Sight Slip is a generously sized and contoured to accept a gun with a big scope on top. Measuring 48 X 10” at the deepest point, there’s a big hump on the top by the carry handles that accommodates the larger optic. There’s an internal butt retainer slip and an 11 X 6” external, zipped pocket. Closure is by a strong single zip and there’s adjustable fixed strap and there’s a D-ring at the end to hang it up.

Swallows The Lot

If you need more height due to a mega scope or NV optics, the Super Scope Slip is the one for you. It’s engulfed all the rifles I used with any type/size of glass on top and I have some big ones. Ok, a little basic but it’s all about size and protection. There’s a 7 X 6”, zip pocket on the mid-outer and webbing carry handles and an integral, adjustable, shoulder strap.

If you want more padding or carrying options as well as space then the ultimate is the Rifle Bag. Measuring 49 x 13” it’s manufactured from 1000D Cordura making it the toughest and hard-wearing of the camo clan. It has external stowage in the form of three, bellows pockets one at 14 X 9” and two at 4 X 9” for smaller items, items such as buddy bottles, or bipods. Finally there’s a big 24”, zipper flat pocket running the full length of the forward section where the design tapers to the front.

Carriage consists of webbing handle, detachable/adjustable shoulder strap and a harness with padded shoulder straps and an adjustable waistband. The bag has a strong double zip fastener but this only opens the rear quarter section to allow you to slip your gun in. Internally there’s a waterproof, anti-scratch PVC liner which encases the ¼” foam padding. The Rifle Bag will easily accommodate just about any rifle with scope and even bipod fitted.
